Your Role
The mission of the Category Manager Purchasing is to develop sourcing strategies and optimize the supplier landscape in alignment with our business needs. Leading a high spend global category, you will manage supplier relations, ensure business continuity as well as excellence in supplier performance.
Deliverables:
- Category strategy development in alignment with direction & stakeholders
- Develop action plans and implementation of category strategy
- Supplier performance & development of existing and new partnerships
- Secure achievement of set KPI’s in sourcing activities
- Lead and develop sourcing activities towards high performance culture
- Provide industry insights and input to overall plan
- Analyze spend, identify synergies and improve value chain
- Contribute to develop efficient ways of working
About You
As a person you are prestigeless and bring proven track records of strategic development and value creation in a high spend global business. You also have the ability to act hands-on to create impact here and now, in parallel to building for the future. You see yourself as a developer, with strong business mindset while being analytic, structured, self-driven and result oriented. It comes naturally for you to build and maintain relations within the company as well at the supplier side.
You have solid contract- and risk management skills together with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, business administration or engineering. Preferably you also bring experience in technical collaborations.
The assignment includes travel based on needs.
